Going to school at Nossi means that opportunities to gain real-world experience in your field are around every corner. This year, the Inspirational Country Music Association (ICM) teamed up with Nossi for their 17th annual ICM Week in Nashville.
The ICM Awards are dedicated to honoring and showcasing the biggest names and emerging talent among artists who perform Christian and inspirational country music. This year had a major focus on benefiting the Tennessee Breast Cancer Coalition, dressing the event with a pink carpet and pink ribbons tied around the awards.
The partnership with Nossi was a win-win for both parties. Students from all fields of Nossi lent their skills. Graphic design students were tasked with creating the advertising for the event and designed the commemorative breast cancer T-shirt. Photography students were assigned to the nightly music showcases and captured the emotions of the week. Videography students also created eight biographical segments spotlighting breast cancer and the toll it takes on the patient and her family.
It’s this type of real-world experience that separates Nossi from other art colleges that keep the learning in the classroom.
